SWEEPS | If I won this one, I would have to surrender to the idea of extreme tourism development. The Cove Atlantis is if anything an exaggerated execution of what might have been an interesting concept. Atlantis, the lost civilization, and all that fascinating classical stuff, first noted by Plato in his dialogues, imaginatively reconstituted by Francis Bacon and then, more recently, by the folks at Walt Disney. Why, the developers might have had fun with that. Then they went and built a complex of massive multi-story buildings with over 400 rooms. Talk about blocking the view. I wonder how many gallons of water this joint goes through on a daily basis? In any event, not to get all caught up in anticipatory ingratitude and eco-fantasies!
